Abdülkadir Göksel, MD
Dr. Abdülkadir Göksel is an otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery specialist whose practice focuses on rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery. He combines clinical practice with international surgical education, scientific publications, and leadership roles in professional societies.
A third-generation physician from a family originating in Gaziantep, Türkiye, Dr. Göksel graduated from Istanbul University’s Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and completed his specialist training at Göztepe Training and Research Hospital. His interest in facial plastic surgery began during residency and developed into a focus on aesthetic and functional nasal surgery and facial rejuvenation. His principal areas of practice include primary and revision rhinoplasty, nasal tip surgery, functional nasal surgery, and deep plane facelift surgery.
Dr. Göksel holds European Board Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is President-Elect of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS), where he has served on the Executive Board for the past four terms. He is also a board member of the Turkish Facial Plastic Surgery Society and a founding member of the International Rhinoplasty Research Society (IRRS).
A co-editor of Structure Preservation Rhinoplasty, Dr. Göksel has authored numerous book chapters on rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery. He shares his surgical experience through international scientific meetings, practical training programmes, and live surgery courses. He also welcomes surgeons and residents from around the world to his Istanbul practice for surgical observation and training.
Together with Dr. Barış Çakır, he co-organises the Structure Preservation Rhinoplasty meeting in Istanbul. He also serves as Co-Chair of Deep Plane Brasil, whose Brazilian Chair is Dr. Lessandro Martins. Dedicated to facial rejuvenation and deep plane facelift surgery, the meeting alternates annually between São Paulo and Istanbul.
Dr. Göksel practises at Rinoİstanbul, the clinic he founded in Kadıköy, Istanbul.
