Rhinoplasty
Our nose is an organ which brings out the beauty of our face and is also vital in terms of health. If you think your nose does not fit your face line or has a deformity due to genetic causes or a previous trauma, it is possible to get rid of this annoyance by a Rhinoplasty Surgery.
By rhinoplasty surgeries, exterior changes are performed on the nose. While designing the structure of the external nose, functional disorders can be considered as well. Thanks to advanced technology, Rhinoplasty is no longer a painful surgery with a lot of bruising and swelling. We are able to fix inside of the nose without buffer applications so that patients have no postoperative pain and symptoms of nasal congestion at all. Special thanks to our Hilotheraphy mask, swelling and bruising around eyes remain minimal.
Our nose is also a functional organ, we examine the deviation in the nose (curvature of the wall which is made of bone and cartilage), the size of the Concha (the growth of inferior turbinate) and nasal polyps as well as chronic sinusitis which affects breathing and smelling, so that we can diagnose any of these issues and fix them during Rhinoplasty Surgery.
Aesthetic nasal surgery can be done under general or local anesthesia and lasts approximately 2 hours. Patients can continue with their routine after surgery. It takes 3 to 6 months for recovery of the nose. But the final results of a rhinoplasty are not typically seen for up to a year after surgery.
Open Rhinoplasty technique or Closed Rhinoplasty technique?
Open and Closed Rhinoplasty Technique simply refer to two possible surgical approaches of Rhinoplasty surgery. With Open Technique nasal cartilage and bone structures can be configured in more detail. It allows the entire skin over the nasal cartilage and bone to be lifted up to find out what’s underneath. Especially in patients who have problems in the tip of their nose, this technique is more suitable. In Closed Rhinoplasty technique, all of the incisions are enclosed inside the nose. All of the work is achieved through the nostrils from the inside. Because of that there is no visible external scar. This technique is preferred if there is no genuine nose deformity. The doctors’ opinions conflict over these two methods. However, I think that it is a more accurate approach to make this decision in accordance with the needs of my patients.
Choosing your doctor is important!
Choosing the right surgeon is the most important and difficult decision you make when considering Rhinoplasty. Because rhinoplasty is generally considered the most difficult procedure in cosmetic surgery, finding the best rhinoplasty surgeon is essential for obtaining the best result. Aesthetic nasal surgery requires exceptional surgical skills and aesthetic perspective in addition to the experience in facial analysis. Your doctor’s previous surgery results, approach to the nasal & facial harmony and experience -quantity & variety of the operations she/he has been performed so far- should be considered carefully before making your decision. The postoperative process of Rhinoplasty takes a long time, the communication between you and your doctor is just as important as the doctor’s attitude to you. Remember, with the combination of a right surgeon, an accurate diagnosis, a well-chosen surgical technique and a successful operation, there is nothing between you and the look you want.
